about
I spent some time in the south west. It gets very weird out there along the Rio Grande, not all that far from Roswell. I think this recording marks the only time two of my favorite musicians ever played together: Dan Toler, southern rock legend who joined the Allman Brothers after Duane's death, as nice a guy to hang out and work with as I've ever known who passed away recently. And Richard Crooks, a drummer who's worked with so many great artists and made so many great records including Dylan's classic, Blood on the Tracks.
