about

The progressive traditional group, my first album. I sometimes think we were New England's answer to Pentangle. In some ways a precursor to the Celtic Revival going on now, we mixed original jigs and reels with some of my songs and a few original sounding covers, like Will the Circle Be Unbroken. Three part harmony, Yo Oxenhandler's gypsy like fiddle, Barbara Hyde's lyrical jazz influenced piano, Sandy Sayers vocals and Rich Block's bass. We were definitely "something like what you ain't never heard". Being stupid and young, however, we broke up for personal reasons just as we were coming to national attention and had run out of records to sell. Brilliant!
