This song evolved as it did because I spent a lot of time recording a few blocks north of the World Trade Center, just before and shortly after the explosions and devastation of 9/11. A sad time but one which showed
that regular Americans could pull together selflessly in stark contrast to the manipulative behavior of our political "leadership". And of course, it is a love song as well.
