hubcapbrian I bought this on vinyl when it was furst released over 40 years ago. It's been on my turntable quite often since then. John's songs carry a strong emotional punch and the backing musicians support is just right. It's great to have it in a digtal format. Favorite track: Grey Smoke.

about

My first solo album, done in Hartford when, through the support of the Peace Train Foundation, I and some lucky musicians got a year's salary with benefits to be on call performers for the area. We played schools, rest homes, public parks, all over. We were paid with government money! Imagine! It must have been a different world. Bill Walach, Preston Reed, Stacy Phillips, Chris Kleeman, we had some hot players....paid to rehearse and perform, 9 to 5 at the office on Farmington Ave. Nice work if you can get it.
